Stokvel Calculator: Common Questions
How do I work out a stokvel payout?
In a rotation (ROSCA) stokvel, each member's payout equals the contribution amount multiplied by the number of members. For example, 12 members contributing R500 each gives a payout of R6 000 per rotation. This calculator does the maths for both rotation and savings stokvels.
What is the difference between a rotation and a savings stokvel?
In a rotation stokvel, the full pot is paid to one member each cycle, in turn, until everyone has had a turn. In a savings stokvel, contributions build up and are shared at the end of the cycle. This calculator supports both.
Is the stokvel calculator free?
Yes. It is free to use, needs no account, and asks for no credit card. If you later want to track contributions and rotations automatically, stokvels run on Zeturi's Basic plan from R149 per month per scheme, paid from the group's pot.
