How do I calculate an investment club's unit price?
Unit price equals net asset value (assets minus liabilities) divided by the total units in issue. For example, a club with R500 000 NAV and 10 000 units has a unit price of R50.
How does unitising prevent dilution?
New members buy units at the current unit price, so their contribution buys a fair share without lowering the value of existing members' units. Everyone's stake stays proportional to what they have put in.
